Introducing A River Runs with Her
Khun Jan Fong has something to say about life on the Mekong - the river that's provided a lifetime of water, food and income for her and her community in northern Thailand.
This year, you'll hear more from Khun Jan Fong and from many more women and girls who live along the Mekong, from its source on the upper Tibetan Plateau to the mouth in Viet Nam's Mekong Delta.
I'll be traveling to talk with them about their lives, including about the most pressing issues for global development - health, education, the environment, access to jobs and income and of course, women's equality. You can follow their stories by adding my URL to your RSS feed, and following my Facebook Photography page.
I've just returned from the Chiang Rai area of northern Thailand, and was honoured to meet so many remarkable women, hear their stories and take their portraits. I can't wait to share them in my new photo documentary project, A River Runs with Her.
