What I do: 

I'm committed to helping to improve people's health and wellbeing. I’m working with leading organizations in health and development, building on 20 years of experience in journalism, global health, communication, advocacy, program design, and multimedia work including photography.  I'm skilled in project design and management; creating, implementing and analysing innovative communication and advocacy programs; and conceptualising and producing multimedia projects. I am an experienced photographer, writer and video director, and love working with people to tell their powerful stories.

Recent Clients, Issues and Areas of Work

The Independent Panel for Pandemic Preparedness and Response

  • Led communication for the Independent Panel, which was co-chaired by the Right Hon. Helen Clark and Her Excellency Madam Ellen Johnson Sirleaf. The Panel examined the way global organizations and countries managed the emergence and spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

CHAI

  • Profiled Rwanda’s landmark effort to eliminate hepatitis, whereby everyone in the country has access to testing and treatment.

World Health Organization

  • Produced multimedia content for The Year of the Nurse and Midwife

  • Created a multimedia package to profile China’s successful effort to eliminate malaria, with a special focus on Yunnan Province.

The UN Foundation

  • Created Our World United Against Polio, a global multimedia series spanning eight countries and profiling people who have given everything to end polio.

The Stop TB Partnership  

  • Photographing and writing about the people involved in ending tuberculosis, a disease that still kills about 1.5 million people every year.

The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation

  • Created "The Art of Saving a Life", a global arts project involving nearly 40 internationally recognized artists

  • Polio Eradication: Advised Nigerian government, communication, operations, coordination

  • Program Development: Polio Eradication, Routine Immunization, Integrated Newborn, Child and Maternal Health service delivery

  • Grant writing resulting in multi-million dollar grants for polio, routine immunization, maternal newborn & child health

  • Senior leadership mission preparation

  • Grant application reviews for polio eradication and routine immunization

  • Writing comprehensive field guide on communication for immunization

  • Shaping a UNICEF/WHO training course on communication for immunization
